P 1211 was a fighter/interceptor for Mach 2+ (as competitor for a RFP of the F.R.G. Ministry of Defence, 15 Nov 1956), canard layout, one jet engine with afterburner (versions with and without two additional liquid-fuel) rocket engines, VTOL capabilities were researched too (1957)
